Seminar: The Site Visit

Bawa delegates and participants to see Enderong House and Tanarimba Visitor's Center in Tanarimba Janda Baik, both of which are award-winning structures.

I am on the 2nd bus, jaga local delegates.

Siap ada rider organisasi, you. Laju gila perjalanan. Rasa macam menteri la pulak, kan. Padahal bawa busloads of architects je. Hehe.

Seminar: D-Day, Pt.II

Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah.... FULL HOUSE!! Itupun ada tak cukup tempat jugak, kena tambah kerusi and duduk tanpa meja.

Aku kena jadi usher to the 8 speakers. Sekarang tengah sorang very young Oz architect (graduated 2003), whose Malay dad hails from Kuantan, tengah present.

Tadi dia tunjuk muka mak ayah dia kat slide.

Ayah dia rupa Denzel Washington, mkayyyy. Tapi sayangnya anak dia tak dapat rupa ayah dia. Heh2.

Best kan ngumpat.

Anyhoos. Sikit punya bangga ke tengok 1 hall ni penuh dengan Abang's fern.

Hilang sikit sakit krem pinggang and betis akew.

Samung karang, nak usher mamat ni turun.

Seminar: D-Day

It's D-Day.

Malam tadi aku balik 10.30, while my 4 other staffs at 11.

Bila aku sampai rumah malam tadi, konon nak baring saaaaaat je sebab belum prepare my m.c script. Tapi, standard alam la, terus tak sedar til 1am.

Aku tersedar, terus pasang alarm pukul 4am.

And now, here I am, kat Lergernd.

Ok nak mamam pagi babai.

The Beginning of The End of BeeEnd

By now, I think the whole Malaysia dah tahu that Pak Anwar has won the by-election with 15,671 majority.

Alhamdulillaaaaaaaaah....

Kontraktor-kontraktor & konsultan-konsultan aku turut sama rejoicing the victory....berduyun-duyun sms masuk ke hp aku. Tak kurang dari Ayah, uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws, friends. Waduh.

Nevertheless, Alhamdulillaaaaah.

Here's to a BETTER MALAYSIA, y'all. Insya-Allaaaaah.

Kat ofis Abang now, their deadline at midnite. Tak pasti aku buleh bertahan til then, since I been up from 5am this morning and had been running around non-stop til aku ada rasa macam nak pitam pukul 4pm tadi.

But at least my 40% of gubra dah selesai. Tinggal 45% aja.

Can't wait for a new tomorrow.

Especially to see whether TokDet will really migrate. Hahahahahaha. Ikut sedap cakap dia je kan.

f*

Gubra Gabra

Korang tengah rasa gabra tak???

I do.

Malam ni di Matang Powh lah penentunya -- kerajaan Bee'Naaatey akan bertukar ke tidak setelah LIMA PULUH tahun bermahathirrajalela.

Berjela-jela aku doa masa Subuh tadi. Sangat-sangat panjang (termasuk juga untuk Ahy who is going for a work interview today... aku sama tumpang gabra).

Jumaat malam Sabtu yang lepas, Abang dapat phonecall dari seorang informer di Penang tentang journalists yang kena pukul teruk allegedly by some PKR men. I thought I wanted to share some thots on that, but couldn't find the time. Fortunately, Abg Zul Noordin has put up an entry on the matter.

Also, rasa bersyukur tak Imam Ramlang Porigi tu still have some conscience left in him about the entire truth? Alhamdulillah. Semoga Allah melindungi beliau dan keluarga beliau... Aaaaamiiin.

But this, that I just received yesterday evening...

...this, like, like, made me all so chuffed-up and pretty pleased awroite! Hilang sikit 15% gabra aku.

(the entire journey of this goody-bag here)

15% lagi gabra for emceeing the Thursday's welcoming dinner di Menara KL, IN WHICH Abang would also be the honorary guest for his pro-bono work in producing his simple 'art' above -- which ends up being the theme motif for almost everything about the seminar.

30% lagi gabra that the seminar would run smoothly.

That leaves 40% gabra for tonight.

*tarik nafas panjang-panjang & dalam-dalam*

Baru Tahu Gayat, Ya???

Oooo, dah nak JATUH, baru kau tau nak TURUN???

1.
BERTAHUN-TAHUN rakyat komplen tentang komuter dan LRT -- 4 tahun sejak kau mula jadi PM, baru 2,3 hari lepas kau nak turun tengok rakyat yang sengsara yang tiap-tiap hari day in and day out dok bersempit-sempit naik komuter & LRT untuk pi membanting tulang dan sama-sama contribute towards YOUR pay dan also your talibaruts'???

Kau tau tak ada family yang sampai berasa-rasa hati sebab servis pengangkutan yang teruk and just dampens everybody's mood to live each day???

Kau tau ke ada yang pernah tunggu sampai 20 buah Putra LRT to pass by before boleh masuk squeeze in???

Kau tau ke ada yang sakit diabetic chronic yang terpaksa berdiri for 45 minutes to 1 hour on his two painful legs and bergasak-gasak dengan orang lain yang lebih sihat???

What about yang sakit belakang, yang sarat mengandung, budak-budak kecik... baru SEKARANG kau nak turun tengok susah-payah rakyat kau, bila kau dah nak jatuh???

Kau baru rasa SATU HARI; rakyat kau berasa hati dengan kau BERTAHUN-TAHUN, baru 2,3 hari lepas kau bangun dari tidur!!!

2.
By the way, minyak dunia dah turun 40%... kau hanya turunkan harga 5%. Is that FAIR to rakyat???

Okaylah... aku HARUS berterima kasih kat engkau sebab some senses finally have come knocking at your dull stupid cranium. But you know what, a HELL LOT of damages have been done. A HELL LOT. Kalau dari dulu kau fikir benda-benda ni semua, we the rakyat won't be THIS angry and vengeful.

Akhir kata, KAU PERLU DIJATUHKAN!!!

***

Najib pula bersumpah di masjid about not knowing Altantuya???

PUHLEAAAAZZZZE.

For someone who does not practise what is preached in the Quran or even bother about the contents, you think he would care???

I bet you if you ask him to swear on the Quran about his "P.D Case" pun, he would.

This swearing upon the Holy Book ni, bukan takat dalam Islam aje tak dipraktikkan, but I was told by my Christian and Buddhist friends that even in THEIR religions pun it is not being practised upon.

I quote Pak Anwar from the latest SK about BeeEnd's personal attacks on him:

"Kalau ia pun mereka patut lihat cermin muka mereka sendiri dan keluarga mereka. Sungguhpun saya sudah terkena begitu rupa, saya masih belum terdesak untuk membongkar rahsia mereka, walaupun dalam Islam, Quran membenarkan ruang bagi orang yang dizalimi untuk mendedahkan keaiban orang yang menzalimi."

Aku suggest lepas ni bubarkan saja Mahkamah Syariah. Apa-apa hal, just angkat sumpah dalam masjid je, buat cara ala tribal rulings.

Korang-korang yang percaya dengan sumpah-sumpah Al-Quran by orang-orang munaafiquun ni, jenis hat belajaq tinggi tapi akai tak dak. Tak dak beza dengan binatang la tu kan. Hangpa perasan dak, anjing kalau diajar pun pandai guna akai.

Sleepy In Putrajaya

In the hall. Ngantuk. Dua hari aku kena keluar rumah pukul 6.30am. Naik bas pejabat pukul 6.45am untuk sampai ke Putrajaya pukul 7.30am. Semalam was raptai. Nak dapat hadiah cemerlang pun, kena siksa-siksa dulu ek. Sungguh sadist, tak gitew.

My turn to naik pentas has long passed. Ada 5 agencies combined, 279 penerima anugerah in total.

From my organisation, ada 28 people of my ranks yang dapat naik pentas. Total of my ranks in the whole organiseksi? Entah. 2,3 ribu orang kot.

But what's interesting in this rather dull, long, arduous event would be the names of the Penerima Anugerah.

Like, selang satu tempat duduk dengan aku ada engineer nama Zulkifli Nordin, macam nama Abg Zul Noordin.

Ada nama Nik Aziz Nik Man, a rather burly guy as compared to the real Nik Aziz Nik Mat.

Ada nama Nurul Iza, without double 'z' and a 'h' at the end.

(Mind you, kat organisasi aku also ada mamat engineer nama Anuar Ibrahim)

Ok, penyampaian hadiah dah habis. Ada cultural show. Da.

To Know a Certain Language is To Reflect a Certain Community???

State MCA chief Liow Tiong Lai said of Arif Shah:
“As a Malay candidate who speaks fluently in Chinese dialects, he understands and reflects the views of the Chinese community here.” Here.

Yyyyy-yeah.

If that's how you see it, then my friend's daughter Shahadah could represent the people in Manchester 'coz she speaks Mancunian so fluently, and so can I represent the Scottish in Malaysia since I very well speak and understand a wee bit of the Scots language too.

Wha a wee piece of brein ye git there in yer wee heid fer tha keind of statement, Sir.

Calling someone from the most racist party to "understand and reflect the views of your community"? That's just, well, plain mingenly stupid.

But of course, knowing another dialect in Malaysia (Cantonese, Mandarin, Tamil) for a Malay is an added bonus, and with that aku respect lah juga si Arip tu sebab aku tahu swear words aje in those dialects.

Kena ambil kursus dengan Tian, Gobi, or Abg Tommy. Grins.

Just fer funn:
The Scottish Parliament in Scots.

The Life of a Cartoonist-cum-Chief Editor

Corrr.

I never thought I could neglect my blog the way I have the past weeks.

Life, for both Abang & I, have been a wee bit hectic these days. What with the Permatang Pauh event, and my in-laws coming over to our humble abode over the weekend yesterday to send one of Abang's niece off at the Airport for her engineering degree in New Jersey, U.S. As of now, the in-laws are all on their way back to Pendang.

And oh, also, worth mentioning is the arrival of Udi's Geordie friend, Sam, yesterday morning after a 31-hour travel, from Newcastle - London - Singapore - train to Sentral, for their 2-week adventure in the Peninsula. Udi, Sam and another friend 'Abang Long' will be going to Kuala Gandah, Taman Negara, the east-coast islands and perhaps Malacca and Penang. Larat la tu. haha

Anyhoos.

Abang hasn't had a total rest since God knows when, now that his paper is out weekly. Mondays would be his deadline day.

Usually on his 'Deadline Mondays', he'd prefer to reach his office before 8am to get things done before bombarded by phone calls and assignments to be given out to his sub-ordinates. Which means I'd be at my office by 7.30am. And then he'll head back home after their 'deadline office lunch' and take his much deserved nap-rest, which also means I'd have to take the LRT back to Cheras after work. He'll then be off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which he'll spend either on running errands or drawing for Malaysiakini and Harakah... mostly the latter.

Weekends? Can't remember the last we went out just to hang-out. Tak pe lah, demi negara, betul tak?

But eversince the Permatang Pauh vacancy, his schedule memang haywire. Even after his deadlines, there'd be meetings and discussions. Then he'll miss his much needed Monday nap-rest.

He'll then have his day off on Tuesday and try his best to get ideas for his weekly cartoon contributions, which usually does not bear any fruit (but if it's for Harakah, then he doesn't have much choice 'coz deadline for Harakah is Tuesday night). And then on Wednesdays he'll have more meetings and discussions, and then continue his 'idea time' and draw and scan and email to the editors. Kadang tak dapat-dapat jugak idea yang dia ndak ~ macam baru-baru ni, hari Khamis malam baru dia dapat idea for M'siakini.

Eii kesian tau. Korang ingat dia dapat idea macam petik jari, where as in reality it doesn't happen that way. Well, most of the time it doesn't.

Well... actually, idea dia banyak. Mostly he'll ask my opinion first about his ideas. Kalau aku gelak besaq, then that'll be it. If mata aku terkebil-kebil tak faham, then he needs to move on.

Kadang aku gelak, tapi tak besaq. Tapi aku kata, "Ala boleh la tu 'Bang, since you're running out of time." But due to his 'personal standards' which he is very adament in retaining and conform, he'll continue 'bertafakkur' till he gets what he think is spot-on AND funny.

Kadang, dah dapat idea, lukis, scan, render, email -- kena reject la pulak sebab too sensitive an issue. Haaa, kan kesian tu.

Dan bila dia nak cari idea, aku kena buka TV pelan-pelan. Kadang aku biarkan aje satu malam tak buka TV, and instead read books or menjahit or surf the 'Net. Kot jari ni gatal nak strum the guitar, I'd just take the guitar into the guest room and layaaaan.

Tapi bila dia dah dapat idea, kau bukak la TV channel apa dan kuat macam mana pun dia tak kisah... oh, except TV1 News, TV3 News and Geletek.

Cuma jangan ganggu dia masa inking so that he would not lose out on the strokes.

If he does, then he'd start back alllll over again.

The scanner I bought him really helped him I'd say. Without the scanner, he'd have to hurry down to the stationary shop before it closes at 9.45pm to scale-down his drawing to fit the scanner at the cybercafe, and then use the Adobe at the cyber cafe to clean up his piece. And then e-mail to the editors. And then baru dapat balik rumah.

Eii kesian tau.

Now he could scan and render at his own sweet time, in the comfort of his kain pelekat and a mug of kopi Aek Cheong. Alhamdulillah...

Kadang aku rasa aku lebih letih tengok Abang bekerja daripada aku sendiri rasa badan aku letih dan sakit-sakit for not having enough rest physically and mentally. That's why dulu, almost every fortnightly dia mesti jatuh tumbang ~ sakit sampai 2,3 hari. Mind you, he's an avid multi-vitamin pill-popper, and still tumbang sakit. It’s a clear means for his body to have total rest and shut-down I suppose.

Tapi Alhamdulillah sejak ambil spirulina pills, badan dia bertahan sikit. Kalau sakit pun, beberapa jam je. Ambil painkiller and terus he’s up and about semula the next morning.

The most clear indicator that he’s feeling better would be his out-of-tune singing in and out of the shower. Which I so do not mind, by the way!

Almost every Saturday I'd help Abang with some translation work either from home or join him at his office. And then, weekend juga lah aku nak kena urus hal rumah, kan?

You could say we could only have time and energy for work and our own immediate family these days -- Abang, the cats, Umi Ayah, adik-adik and Abang's immediate family ... not in any particular order.

We've not seen both my gramps for, like, almost a year? Depa dah pi mai pi mai KB-KL tah berapa kali, tak jumpa-jumpa jugak. Memang kena bletiaq kaw-kaw kalau jumpa dorang masa Raya nanti.

And meeting-up friends for social calls?? I think we're the most anti-social of them lot these days. To my friends out there... I'm sorry, guys... :-(

I've not watched the 14 DVDs I've bought progressively, and that includes the recent 'The Color Purple' DVD Abang bought me.

The last we both seen a movie was Kungfu Panda at Cap Square.

All we need is a total break from it all, but we can't seem to find the time.

I suppose I should remind Abang... even Anwar pun take a break and go holiday somewhere, tau. Inikan pulak kita insan marhaen. Nyeheheh.

Ya, ya, demi negara.

Quoting Bug

Spent the day at Abang's office. Internet laju rabak kat sini.

I read this from last-week's Suara Keadilan... doa Tok Guru:

I'll be very very very very afraid and won't be able to sleep at night.

Bukan calang-calang orang yang mendoakan ni. Bukan calang-calang orang di sisi Allah s.w.t, that is.

***

Masa aku kecik-kecik dulu, kalau aku diajukan soalan "Who is your idol leader?", tanpa berfikir panjang aku akan jawab "Dr. M".

If only I knew better -- that he in the end is a racist bigot and so desperately gila kuasa -- tobat pianggggg aku akan mengaku aku idolise dia.

Read this, "Mahathir has let me down as my mentor". And when the writer M Raken writes...

"A true Muslim will never succumb to the temptation of passing unsubstantiated false judgments on another fellow brother even if it may mean the gain of the whole world.

It is the designated court, whatever it may be, that will pass judgment on the accused. Tun Dr Mahathir has failed to impress me that he is a true Muslim. As a non-Muslim, I am truly ashamed of Tun Dr Mahathir."

...I hope he/she does not take that Tun M represents the real Muslims in Malaysia!!!

In fact, this whole she-bang of the Conspiracy II which is clearly created to 'assassinate' Pak Anwar, hanya memalukan Malaysia sebagai sebuah Negara Islam.

I quote Mr. Tommy Thomas from his article "A second prosecution of Anwar Ibrahim - is it in the national interest?"

"...It therefore defies belief that the Government can still repeatedly declare that politics is not involved in the Anwar sodomy case. They are insulting the intelligence of the Malaysians by such arrant nonsense. The case is all about politics, and nothing but politics. If Anwar were not a potential Prime Minister, and only an ordinary citizen, he would not face this prosecution. It is as simple, plain and obvious as that."

'Nuff said.

RedBeanBag II

The mock-up, fresh from the oven, still reeks of silkscreen paint.

Needs to be a wee bit lighter, since it's printed on very dark-coloured material.

But.... at least better la than this kaaaaaan...

Anyway, pics below are the kain belacu bag that Abang got masa seminar di Manila mid-July. Sangat coolness, ok.

(Click both pix for bigger image)

Why lah kita kat M'sia tak leh buat macam diorang ni eh??? We have SO MUCH resources!

Kalau ada rezeki lepas ni untuk organize seminar, aku nak try arrange for this kind of items pula... something to give back to the community.

I found this quote somewhere in the blogosphere:

"Apabila kamu merasa letih kerana berbuat kebaikan maka sesungguhnya keletihan itu akan hilang dan kebaikan yang dilakukan akan terus kekal. Dan sekiranya kamu berseronok dengan dosa maka sesungguhnya keseronokan itu akan hilang dan dosa yang dilakukan akan terus kekal."

Banyak harus aku belajar. Nak kena keep inspired by Doc Bubbles more closely nih...

RedBeanBag

At the beginning of last month, when I was, err, requested to join the committee for the international tropical architecture seminar this coming 28th and 29th of August, one of the things I was asked to do is to design the goody-bag.

The brief goes as such:

- It has to be kain belacu and not the non-woven ala paperish-canvassy-like bag you get in exhibitions tu.

- Gambar ala fern or daun paku pakis. To make it ala tropical.

- File keras A4-size tu must fit in it.

- Must not have name of the seminars and what nots on the bag. Small logos of the organisers will do. This is so that the bag will be used over and over again -- pi Tesco ka, Carrefour ka, shopping kat Sogo ka. So recipients of goody-bags tak malu and segan nak guna beg tu semula.

So, the first thing I got from the web, was this:

Some pewter-print of a fern.

So, I 'took' the fern out, and tak ingat dah what I did (paint daub, etc), terus jadi gini:

Thought it was quite cool.

And then I did this. Olive-colour kain belacu bag...

... and presented it to the jawatankuasa tertinggi, where in the meeting ada dua orang aje machai junior ~ aku and sorang budak PRO. Yang lain semua Timbalan Ketua Pengarah and Pengarahs and Timbalan Pengarahs.

They loved the 3D-fern idea so much. Or maybe sebab I succeeded in selling the idea, haha.

You know la architects -- we're all about bullshitting through our products.

And then Pertubuhan Arkitek Malayia (PAM) introduced me to their 'Bag Man' (BG) 'coz at this point in time I ain't gonna go through PAM as the middle-person between me and their Bag Man. Dok ding-dong-ding-dong nanti sampai bila nak siap.

And then, bad news ensued:

BG says kain belacu that I wanted tu could only be ordered from China. That takes time. If nak coloured belacu, LAGI takes time. Same goes to canvassy-bag, which is thicker than the non-woven. Have to order from China also (BLOODY HELL WHERE ARE OUR INVESTORS IN THIS SORT OF THING, AH???). However, he has samples of cotton bag, tapi material macam baju budak sekolah. And only in one colour -- very very pale beige. Some more to make the print-out look 3D like I sketched, it has to be printed on a sticker and heat-transfered on the bag. 'Else I've to re-design it to look two-dimensional for the simple and cheaper silk-screen printing. And oh, by the way, if I don't like the cotton bag and would have to revert to the non-woven material, the colours for the non-woven bag are also limited ~ there's no olive green. If I still want Olive Green, have to wait for order. So have to choose from the 4 types of greens available -- hijau pucuk pisang, apple green, yucky green, and dark green.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak.

Dipendekkan cerita yang lebiiiiiiiiiiiiiiih panjang -- big bosses say, ok la we make do with the non-woven material, instead of the olive-coloured kain belacu. At least we could get the bag colour that we want (or closer to what we wanted). But we want the image with 3D effect, please.

Then, BG came back and said, "Just so you know that if you want the 3D effect, it can only be printed on A4 size, so the real image would be smaller than your sketch."

"So, it'll be like this, okay...", BG emailed me.

Aiiiiyak.

Why leh the logos in the middle laidat? Cannot go further to one corner ka??? I asked BG. Who is a Singaporean by the way. Really professional and patient guy. Kiasu tak nampak lagi la.

"Like I said, it's printed on an A4 size, mah... everything heat-transferred on the bag, and then peel off slowly".

Cannot do separately meh BG???

"Extra cost lor laidat."

And you said two-sides heat-transferred printing laidat already cost RM13!!! Aiyoh, end-product not worth the price lah BG!

"The heat-transfer and sticker quite expensive mah... Silkscreen is wayyyy cheaper, of course you know already by now," he said.

What the heck la BG, I said. Bring it on. 800 of them. One sample, please. On dark green non-woven, just like your sketch.

That was last Saturday/Sunday. Aku pun dah agak keletihan masa tu, had way too many things at hand and in mind.

And 2 days ago (Wednesday), he brought in a sample. Not on a dark-green non-woven though, but on a green bag yang dah siap sedia ada in his manufacturer's factory.

Good God.

Aku tengok pun aku dah tahu the Jawatankuasa Tertinggi will reject it. Meeting is the next day, Thursday. Semalam la tu.

Looked so tacky la BG!!! Aiyooooh. I sighed loudly to him, clearly making known of my frustrations.

After some deliberation with BG and discussion on making the heat-transfer sticker looked less tacky, we parted. My fingers crossing for some miracle to happen.

Next day Thursday (semalam la tu), we had the weekly Jawatankuasa meeting.

As expected, all rejected the bag. Even the PAM rep, also an architect.

"You buat keputusan sendirilah lepas ni, ok? 'Coz tak cukup masa," The Biggest of Boss at the time said.

I took that as good news, 'coz aku leh buat kerja dan keputusan terus.

At the same time, real pressure 'coz it means that I have to darn perform!!!

And I've only next week Monday to start producing / manufacturing 800 pieces of the bags!

Aku balik malam tadi, rasa berat sangat kepala aku. Kepala aku letih, tapi tak leh 'katup', know what I mean.

I've not only this bag to settle, but also the leaflets, book programme and name-tag (which, Alhamdulillah, semua almost settle).

Oh, not forgetting tugas hakiki aku at the office with four active sites doing piling works and all the administrative shit.

So, malam tadi aku 'nangis' ke Abang.... help me Abang, help, can you please do your cartoonist stroke on my fern, help, Alin dah tak larat penatnya ni...

Mujur Abang dah habis lukis kartun segala... so he was quite free last night.

He started off with so many strokes of brushes and pens... I've lost count on the papers and re-tracing that I had to do everytime dia tak puas hati dengan stroke dia.

At long last, he got it. He used the ink-pipe yang melekat kat penutup ink dia, and voilah...

I loike it...!

Dan punya la banyak dakwat yang dia guna, I had to blow-dry the paper for more than 30 minutes tengah-tengah malam buta pukul 11.30 malam before scanning it.

But at least, I'm happier with this result.

So, pagi tadi, I called BG to meet him at his office, I hopped on the LRT from Bandaraya to Maluri and he picked me up at the station, and both of us sat down with the manufacturer... and ALHAMDULILLAH, settle semua pagi tadi jugak -- image can be that size, that colour. Price is 30% lower. And manufacturing time is shorter.

Back at the office, I emailed to the Jawatankuasa Bosses lepas tu of the new design and price, and they're all happy.

Cuma kalau dapat sign 'Zunar' sikit kat satu corner of the fern tu, kan best? haha

Ok nak balik nak rehat nak rehat nak rehat...

God I learnt a lot this past few weeks. About life, about work, and about making a darn goody-bag.

Enthusiastically Worn Down

My enthusiasm is indeed wearing me out.

The enthusiasm in easing out some really heavy make-or-break family issues...

The enthusiasm in solving some pain-in-the-neck international-seminar-organising issues...

The enthusiasm in middle-manning some, no, a lot of red-taped work issues...

Yup, ALHAMDULILLAH they have all settled nicely, ALHAMDULILLAH.

But it's really wearing me out, By God, it's wearing me out.

I'm supposed to be going for Kursus Bee Tee End down in Pontian tomorrow morning till Monday night.

Received the letter mid-last week before taking a 4-day weekend.

Jenuh kepala aku pikio how to get out of it. Bloody hell can't even take myself to imagine the 'brainwash' sessions I'll be getting. Aku takut aku sumpah seranah aje penceramah-penceramah tu nanti.

Dah le kena beli baju kurung putih untuk lectures 3,4 hari pagi petang siang malam kat sana. Like, WTF, kan??? Kem komunis ka pa? Asal baju plain colour tak de sulam tak de beads tak ngelit-ngelit, udah la! Aiiiyoooh. Like, lepas the course, bukannya a lot of us would continue to use the baju kurung putih tu, kan??? Not me, at least.

Satu kali, awal minggu baru ni aku dapat juga surat pemberitahuan untuk hadir majlis Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) minggu depan ~ raptai 6.30 pagi hari Isnin, final 6.30 pagi hari Selasa. Kalau tak datang, tak dapat hadiah anugerah ($$$, that is).

(Honestly, right.)

Anyhow, used the opportunity to minta defer Kursus Boo ToeBee Tee End due to the Majlis APC. Heh heh. Phew phew phew.

Ni defer kali kedua.

Deferment kali pertama aritu sebab Abang baru lepas operate, so kena jaga makan minum Abang.

Hopefully by next Bee Tee End session, kerajaan dah bertukar tangan, hence there will be more racial-friendly participation, and Bee Tee End will be a non-partisan Patriotic Camp rather than being propagandish (is there a word???).

Aaaaamiiiiin.

Okeh, gotta go back to my, erm, enthusiasms. Adaiiii.
