'Tukar Air Angsa'

Betul-betul rasa macam sebatang kera kara sebab Umi tak reply-reply my message that I asked how'd the convo go, nor does Abang when I asked how his day had been in KK.

F I N E .

Tadi when I reached my car at the LRT station at almost 9pm, I found that someone had berdirikan my car-wipers.

Seingat aku, aku tak dirikan pun those car-wipers this morning.

Aiseh.

Dah le gelap kat tempat parking tu.

So, aku siap check belakang kereta, check wiper belakang kot berdiri jugak or ada kertas iklan terselit, and then unlocked the car and buka pintu terus switched on the headlights and the reading lights even before I started the engine, checked the backseats, then closed the door, quickly tekan the central locking... and then baru started the engine and switched off the reading lights.

Crazy.

Padahal masa zaman bujang dulu, balik pukul 11,12 malam almost everyday, tak de lak rasa gerun macam tadi.

Meh aku bawak korang for a 'tour' of what's there masa aku tukar air angsa petang semalam.

1.
BEFORE: The tempat mandian angsa yang tak tukar since Sunday (pic taken on Tuesday noon).

2.
Those smelly and gawang (garang) angsas. Let's just name them as Jane on the far-left, Ben in the middle (with a disfigured right wing that aku malas nak indulge much on the incident that had disfigured his right wing), and the most overly-protective Bob on the far-right.

The only people they are not gawang to are my Dad, Ahy and Udi. Udi boleh siap main kejar-kejar and sorok-sorok lagi dengan dorang.

3.
...isikan makanan jagung kering for them...

4.
AFTER: Their baths setelah the half-barrels dicuci and air diganti.

5.
Halau the three back ke luar pagar belakang to their tempat mandi. Note the green rake that I had to use to defend myself against them. They're pwetty scared of rakes, though Bob would still peck at the rake dengan rakus sekali.

Note also that Jane is the one farthest at the back. Ben and Bob are particularly protective over Jane. Jane rarely bites or pecks. Bob and Ben do.

The other day when I went over to ganti air angsa, Bob pecked my hand from outside while I was trying to close the back gate. Aku ingatkan sikit aje kena patuk. Tengok-tengok... berdarah, kawuuu.

6.
Aku halau dorang sampai ke hujung kawasan sebab air tak penuh lagi and aku tak cuci-cuci lagi keliling kawasan mandian diorang.

7.
After which aku cepat-cepat lari masuk balik into the house compound. Took this photo dari dalam compound. Tengok tu Jane terus aje seluk kepala dalam mandian, nak berkumur and cuci muka. Vain. tsk tsk tsk.

8.
The notes Haswol (Ahy's friend yang tolong-tolong jenguk the house and also ganti air angsa, tambah makanan angsa, kasi makan ke kucing-kucing liar Ayah and siwam pokok-pokok Ayah and Ahy) and I exchange everytime we drop by. This time, aku pesan ke dia to guna the insect repellant I bought him sebab banyak betul nyamuk kat belakang tu.

Dah ngantuk.

teringat zaman kecik dulu bela angsa.

taik angsa tak sama macam taik ayam. taik angsa lebih byk serat dan kurang bau. tak macam taik ayam yg kdg kdg di panggil taik ayam candu.

dulu masa kami ada ayam hutan, there was a time sampai naik 30 ekor...ya Allah jenuh nak mencuci taik ayam keliling rumah tiap-tiap hari!

La ni ayam hutan dah langsung tak da, tak tau naper. mati ka, kena curik ka...

Angsa kami pulak kalau dorang tak makan rumput banyak (like now when my dad is not around and nobody bawak dorang masuk dalam compund rumah), taik dorang hitam legam. tapi kalau dorang selalu makan rumput, baru jadi hijau berserat.
