The Hindraf Rally

Oh we so have put Malaysia on the map, this one whole November, haven't we??? Forget the multi-million Visit Malaysia 2007 gimmicks, the rallies were it!!!

Syabas!!!!

(Make that "November 'Chemical' Rain", shall we??? HAHAHAHA so spot on! Hmmm, this just gives me idea of slides of The November Rallies with the song as the background... what say you???)

Altogether now! Correct! Correct! Correct!

Hehehe, just have to put that in, don't I? *grins*

Way to go, people!!!

I like the way Abang throw back things at one wedding guest yesterday who thought that he, not realising who Abang actually is, was just trying to be friendly and peramah to Abang, who at the time was resting under a tree still recovering from his viral infection.

Guest:
Kerajaan patut bergarang sikit dengan orang-orang merusuh macam ni (referring to the Hindraf rally that morning). Kalau kat obersea tu, polis dorang dah pukul kaw-kaw punya orang-orang macam ni.

(Hellllllooooo.... in the first place, betul ke kau dah tengok sendiri kat overseas tu kerajaan dorang treat peaceful rally macam mana??? Dah pasti-pastinya kau ni jenis tonton TV tak berbayar serta baca surat khabar meloya)

Abang:
*stunned*

Abang:
Mula-mula sekali, you tahu ke sebab-musabab diorang turun pagi ni???

Guest:
Tak.

Abang:
Habis tu, mana you tahu diorang merusuh???

Guest:
*diam*

Abang:
You ingat diorang semua suka-suka tak da kerja ke nak turun cari pasal macam ni???

Guest:
*terdiam terus*

Abang:
Zaman internet ni, you tak boleh bergantung harap info you datang dari bacaan suratkhabar biasa-biasa ni ataupun tengok berita dari TV tak berbayar. You pun tahu kan, tak wujudnya "press freedom and fair reporting" di Malaysia. So, you kena selidik dulu, dan ask questions - Kenapa, Kenapa, Kenapa. Bila you dah tahu semua tapi you masih tak agree, then barulah you throw judgment! Kalau you tak tahu cerita sebenar, tak eloklah you nak jatuhkan hukuman tak semena-mena!

Guest:
*terus masuk lubang cacing*

Aku tanya Abang, kenapa tak explain je to the Guest what the Sunday rally was actually about. Abang kata, kebetulan right after that, wife dia datang ke dia and diorang minta diri nak balik. Lagipun, kata Abang, kalau that guest betul-betul nak tahu, dia sendiri akan tanya Abang. Tugas Abang pada ketika itu adalah untuk buat dia berfikir sejenak, to make him stop acting like a smart fool he thought he was. Harapan Abang is that bila the Guest balik rumah, dia akan buat homework and for once will start using his head before passing any judgemental remarks.

Moral of the story: Di awal-awal nak buat kawan, don't talk about religion, race and politics. 'Else jadi foot in mouth situation... macam Guest ni lah. hehehehe

I am writing this with all intention to mendidik adik-adik Kak Lin, and also my relatives, friends and other silent readers who would read this.

I may not agree with the original objectives of Hindraf (Hindu Rights Action Force) due to conflicts with my own faith, but, if I may, allow me to quote Mr. Malik Imtiaz that explains rightly about how I personally feel about the whole thing ~ and that I 200% recognize and respect the personal dignity of Hindraf supporters. Although oppressions and marginalisation happen in all layers of the societies, but let's face the cold hard truth that the Indians have been hit the worst.

It has to start somewhere, this fight for equal justice and rights.

Truth be told, it would be far easier for me and my belief if it wasn't HINDRAF per se, but perhaps just plain INDRAF (Indian Rights Action Force), which definitely transcends beyond religion, which would then cover even equally marginalized Indian Muslims, Indian Christians and any other Indians of any faiths.

I may be shallow ~ Hindraf may be embraced as the whole new thinking by Indians of all beliefs, but INDRAF would definitely start-off and received better among the majority Muslims population, you know. Kindly correct me if I'm wrong here, ya? Thanks.

I may not be walking there with you and comrades - Dear Mr. (Uthaya)Kumar, Mr.Siva, Mr. Gobala, Pushpa, et al - but my hearts are with you lot.

In the meantime, please rajin-rajinkan diri untuk membaca tujuan rally Hindraf semalam, here at Tian's blog, baca entry-entry Nat sebagai eyewitness, Tian's own experience dan juga Jeff Ooi's reports 1,2 & 3, tonton sendiri laporan dari Al-Jazeera dan M'siakini, pastu bandingkan dengan berita-berita di tv tak berbayar serta Utusan Meloya, Enestee dan konco-konconya... and be the smart-ass to understand the ketidakbetulan-nya sistem kita di sini.

If I could stay up and sit infront of the 'Net and news from evening until late last night just to catch up and make myself really understand and digest all these, then you, adik-adik Kak Lin especiallynya, could too.

I'd prolly write more on this, 'coz I feel strongly about this equal rights to all Malaysian eversince I was small, and the time has now finally arrived for me to actually sit down, put my thoughts together and share my own personal views on my own personal blog. Hopefully, my future kids and grandkids will learn a lot from this.

Allahu a'lam. Hanya Allah yang Maha Mengetahui segalanya.

thank you for dropping by!!!!

In the first place, tak payahlah masuk webpage macam tu.

of ALL people nak provoke perkauman dan agama, Uthayakumar is NOT the person. We know him personally.

yang akan provoke perkauman dan agama... tu, dalam perhimpunan2 u*n* tu. ITU baru provokasi namanya.

Allahu a'lam.
